The North Broad and Bienville intersection will be partially closed through Thursday (Feb. 16) to allow crews to perform subsurface utility work as part of the Mid-City B Project.
The outside travel lanes on North Broad and Bienville will remain closed, but the intersection will be open to vehicular traffic. Signage and traffic control measures, such as barrels and fencing, will be onsite to direct drivers and pedestrians.
The$24.4 million Mid City Group B Infrastructure Improvement Project calls for removing and replacing existing water and drainage lines, repairing the sewer line, repaving the roadway in concrete, installing new sidewalks (as necessary) and installing American with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersections.
The project is scheduled to be completed by the fall of 2023, weather permitting.
The Department of Public Works construction contractor is Hard Rock Construction.
