Two cars were stolen in the Mid-City area on Saturday, the New Orleans Police Department reported.

At about 5:40 p.m., a woman was carjacked on Ursulines and North Lopez Street, near the Kennedy Place pocket park.

The 38-year-old woman had just entered her car in the 3100 block of Ursulines when two men walked up and advised her to exit the vehicle, police said. They took her wallet and phone and drove off in her car, heading toward Bayou St. John. The car is a silver 2013 Lexus with Texas license plate LTN 7599.

A man’s car was stolen about four hours later in the 400 block of South Solomon Street, near Jesuit High School. The victim pulled into his driveway at about 9:30 p.m. when two men drove up in a dark sport utility vehicle.

One of the men got out with a gun in hand and demanded the victim’s keys. He complied, and the men fled in both vehicles. A third suspect followed in a white sedan.
