Mid-City Library closed for Ida repairs

Mid-City Library

The Mid-City Library remains closed while damage from Hurricane Ida is repaired.

During this closure, books on hold that are usually picked up at Mid-City Library will be sent to Robert E. Smith Library in Lakeview. Patrons may also request to have them sent to another location for pick-up by logging into their library account or by calling any location.Items may be returned to any other public library location.

Branches near Mid-City that are currently open include the Rosa F. Keller Library & Community Center, 4300 S. Broad Avenue; the Norman Mayer Library, 3001 Gentilly Boulevard; and the Robert E. Smith Library, 6301 Canal Boulevard. These branches are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and have computer and WiFi access.
