Voodoo Music + Arts Experience organizers announced the Halloween weekend festival will take a pause in 2021. The festival will return to City Park for “an epic Halloween experience” in 2022.

The 2020 Voodoo festival, like all festivals during height of the COVID-19 pandemic, was canceled. Organizers gave no reason for this year’s cancelation.

“As our city reopens with an abundance of events to reconnect with, we look forward to holding our reunion when we can fully embrace the Voodoo experience,” the announcement stated.

The festival had been scheduled for Oct. 29-31. Many of the festivals traditionally held in the spring, including the Jazz and Heritage Festival, have been moved to October.

Jazz Fest will be taking over the Fair Grounds during the weekends from Oct. 8 to Oct. 17.

Voodoo fest organizers said current ticketholders will receive an email from Front Gate Tickets within the next 24 hours. It will include information about rollover and refund options.
