Avery’s on Tulane closes permanently, NOLA.com reports

Christy and Justin Pitard, pioneers in the burgeoning medical corridor on Tulane Avenue, have closed their classic po-boy restaurant Avery’s on Tulane, Ian McNulty reports on NOLA.com.

Since 2012, Avery’s has added its own flair to New Orleans casual fare, attracting a loyal following, but the pandemic along with personal health issues proved to be too much, McNulty reports.

  1. I’ve been watching for them to reopen, keeping my fingers crossed. Dynamite couple with excellent food. This makes me so sad!!!!
