Deliveryman’s SUV stolen at gunpoint in Faubourg St. John

A deliveryman’s vehicle was stolen at gunpoint on Monday (Dec. 21) afternoon in the Bayou St. John neighborhood, the New Orleans Police Department reported.

The victim, a 38-year-old man, was making a delivery in the 1000 block of North Dupre Street, near St. Philip Street, at about 3:45 p.m. when two men in a black Dodge Ram truck drove up and stopped. A gunman got out of the pickup and told the victim not to move. He then got in the man’s vehicle and drove off, police said.

The stolen vehicle is a 2019 silver Honda Pilot with Louisiana license plate 833DVC.

Further details were not immediately available. Anyone with information is urged to call the NOPD First District station at 504-658-6010 to speak to a detective, or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 to leave an anonymous tip that could be eligible for a cash reward.
