Jay Banks announces time change for food pantry at Goodwill

District B Councilman Jay H. Banks and his community partners will host their sixth free food pantry for residents affected by COVID-19 on Wednesday (May 13).

The drive-up food pantry is presented in partnership with Banks, Second Harvest of South Louisiana, Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana, the Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club, and the Black Organization for Leadership Development.

Banks announced a permanent time change for the weekly event. Beginning Wednesday, it will begin at 3 p.m. and continue until the food runs out. It’s in the Goodwill parking lot at Tulane Avenue and Jefferson Davis Parkway (3400 Tulane Ave.).
