Three armed robberies reported in three days, shooting late Saturday

Four robberies were reported in the last three days, three at gunpoint in Mid-City, according to crime maps.

On Thursday (Jan. 24) an armed robbery was reported on the 2600 block of Canal Street at 8 a.m. Another robbery at gunpoint was reported half-an-hour later and a few blocks away on the 200 block of North Lopez Street.

A simple robbery was reported on Saturday (Jan. 26) at 1 a.m. on the 300 block of South Gayoso Street. A robbery at gunpoint was reported late Saturday, about 11:30 p.m. on the 300 block of South Dupre Street.

In a separate incident late Saturday night a man was shot in the stomach and hand on the 2800 block of Palmyra Street according to initial police reports. No other information was available at this time.
