Police have charged one man with second degree murder in connection to a Monday night homicide in the 1100 block of North Roman Street.
The NOPD’s Homicide Unit arrested Vincent Thomas, 27, on Tuesday.
Officers responded to shots fired in the area around 8:30 p.m. Monday. Once on scene, officers discovered a male victim inside of a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on scene by EM, police said.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives developed Thomas as a suspect in the incident, police said. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Vincent Thomas and on Tuesday, Thomas met with detectives in the Seventh District.
At that time, he was placed under arrest and subsequently booked with one count of second degree murder, NOPD said.
