The Mothership Foundation, a local nonprofit that puts on the Bayou Boogaloo every year, is looking for some help.

The festival kickstarts Friday evening but volunteers are needed for setup and breakdown over the week. Setup shifts are available Monday through Thursday, with breakdown shifts early the next week. Shifts are three to four hours in length.

Volunteers are also needed during the festival. Boogaloo runs Friday from 5 to 9:15 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9:15 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Areas for volunteers include (but not limited to):

– Safety crossing guards
– Ambassadors
– Assistance to catering
– Operational Assistance
– Assist in merchandise
– Recycling/Clean-up assistance

All volunteer shifts include food and beverage. To sing up to be a volunteer, visit the Boogaloo’s website or click here. Any concerns or questions can be emailed to volunteers@mothershipfoundation.org.
