Officers are asking for the public’s help finding two teenage girls, reported missing in separate cases.

Sixteen-year-old Tekia Francis was last seen by her mother on Jan. 19 when she dropped her daughter off at John McDonogh High School in the 2500 block of Barracks Street.

The report states Francis has runaway before and may be at an unknown location on the Westbank. Francis is described as an African-American female, approximately 5’5” tall weighing about 120 pounds and was last seen wearing a white sweater with green and gold lettering and khaki pants.

In a different case, 13-year-old Curnisha Dyer was last seen by her mother on the morning of Jan. 9 at their residence in the 2400 block of Music Street.

The report states Dyer was supposed to catch the school bus that morning at Orleans Avenue and North Galvez Street, but at this time it is not known if Dyer ever took the school bus.

Dyer is described as an African-American female, 5’4” tall with brown hair and was last seen wearing a powder blue shirt and navy pants with black shoes or boots, consistent with the Schaumberg school uniform. The report states Dyer is in need of her medication.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either girl is asked to call 821-2222.
