Armed robbery reported on St. Phillip Street

A 40-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint around 7 p.m. Monday night, according to initial police reports.

The victim was leaving his job site on the 2800 block of St. Phillip Street when he was approached by an armed suspect, according to the report. The suspect demanded the man empty his pockets, he did so and then took off running.

The report also states that the victim’s car was later recovered in good condition. No additional details about the incident were immediately available.
