Home-invasion suspect shot by resident on St. Ann Street, police say

The victim of an apparent home invasion on St. Ann Street in Mid-City shot one of his attackers in the chest Sunday evening, authorities said.

Two men entered a home in the 3000 block of St. Ann around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, and one of them fired shots as they made their way inside, according to the initial police report. One of the victims in the house returned fire, striking 26-year-old Jerome Guy in the chest, the report states.

Guy was arrested at the scene, the report states.
